DAM Awards 2019: Best Make Up/Hair Artist

If the apocalypse hit and we all turned into zombies, we be some fly AF zombies because Denton has a stacked makeup and hair artist line up, in addition to all of the salons in town that are home to such talented artists.

Here are your nominees for the 3rd Annual DAM Awards:

Logan Coley Broker

Broker is here for the LOOKS. A talented hair artist, he takes those over-dyed locks and makes them magic with his skilled touch. Broker’s most passionate about theatrical wig and makeup design work and creating fully transformative looks that can tell a story. He is also nominated for Best Drag Queen as “Eva DeLeon.”

Kailey Coonrod

Coonrod has been doing hair for over 6 years and from a young age has been inspired by the the transformative effects of having your hair done. A pro with color and cuts, she has grown from styling her friends hair for homecoming in high school to creating uniquely crafted styles for her clients.

Lindsey Hall

Hall brings the imagination to life as a makeup designer for production and plays. Cuts, bruises and blood are her specialty and this impassioned makeup hobbyist recently designed the makeup for Sundown Collaborative Theatre fall production: Pillowman.

Dahlia Knowles

Taking home the award last year in this category, Dahlia is a hair stylist at Davanti Salon and Spa. Dahlia fell in love with hair and makeup because of the joy she takes in seeing people feel more confident in addition to following her passion that allows her to be on a new adventure each day.

Rain Sprague

Whether it’s makeup and hair that's out of this world with her SFX expertise, or a look that brings out the glam, Looks by Rain leaves you feeling like a million bucks. A stylist at Studio One16, she is a jack of all trades from airbrushing and henna to giving you a customized look for any occasion.
