6th Annual Israel/Palestine Film Festival
People for Justice in Palestine and Israel
@ Trinity Presbyterian Church

This weekend, Denton held the sixth annual Broken Lens Film Festival, a tribute to Israeli and Palestinian films and filmmakers; an event sponsored by People for Justice in Palestine and Israel. The two day event featured films exploring the conflict between Israel and Palestine, and specifically, women’s role therein. One of these films -To See if I’m Smiling, showcased at the event on Saturday - reflects the lives of six women as Israeli soldiers and the choices they have made. The overall experience combined food and dance from the region, as well as distinguished speakers on the subject of the cultures and conflict.
