Mixtape Monday: August 29, 2016

Schools back in session, and we've got a fresh playlist to get your Monday morning grindin'. The University of North Texas and Texas Women's University campus' are bursting with students who need new music, so if you are holding on to something you want to share, send it our way!

P.O.E.T. - Live & Smile
P.O.E.T. aka Poet Spitta aka Kory Bruister is part of the Kundalini Kids Collective and released some new music last week. "We living like Gods, smiling like demons," this freestyle harps. Bruister does, in fact, spit some poetry here and we absolutely love it.

Tony Ferraro - The Little Dog Laughed (Live)
Originally released in 2013 on Friend of Man and Beast, "The Little Dog Laughed" was recorded Live at Rubber Gloves Rehearsal Studios before it closed earlier this summer. This deconstructed version is as raw as the closing weekend at Gloves. Totes approps.

Addison Boozer - Summer Heat
Addison Boozer is a psychology student at the University of North Texas who enjoys writing music and playing guitar in her free time. Boozer released Jaded, her first EP, this weekend.

Mz. Bossy - Fuck You Mean
This is not new, although I am pining for some new Mz. Bossy music, but I cannot stop listening to this entire album. Eyes Wide Shut has been the CD in my car for the last month, at least. Mz. Bossy is a Texas transplant, hailing all the way from Anchorage, Alaska.
