What's Your Angle? Pop Up Art Show

There is no question that Denton has a very strong arts community. More than that, we are home to some supremely talented folks, which makes for an interesting and diverse culture. We help support one another, and continuously work to build what we believe is the best possible community for not only ourselves but for the future Dentonites as well. So, what's your angle?

A pop-up art show that will 100% benefit the Denton Community Market, What's Your Angle? hopes to bring together 30 different local artists to provide 50 unique pieces of artwork. Each piece will be framed, courtesy of DSC Designs, and available for purchase the evening of the art show on a grab and go basis. Refreshments will be provided by Hop & Sting Brewing Co, LSA Burger Co., and Barley & Board. Admission is free, and all art will be for sale!

The show is based on the concept of Denton being the "top of the golden triangle." All art pieces will be in a triangle format and presented on a 3-dimensional pyramid structure, built by Bryan Levings of DSC Designs.

We are looking for a couple more artists to join an outstanding list already. If you're interested in submitting your name to the list, please use this Google form. We will be in contact with respondents immediately.

More fun: there will be a macrame class taking place on the same evening, from 6 pm - 8 pm, hosted by Ceren Lee. Lee owns a clothing company in Denton called Oddbird Company that specializes in beautiful Turkish textiles.

What's Your Angle? will take place on Thursday, June 9, 2016 from 6 pm - 8 pm. Join us at the Greater Denton Art Council's Patterson-Appleton Arts Center's Festival Hall for a one of a kind art show.
