VASTFEST Preview

Black Friday and Small Business Saturday are over, but the 2nd annual VASTFEST is the next holiday shopping event featuring wares of members within the Visual Arts Society of Texas. The event takes place Thursday, December 1st from 7 - 8:30 p.m. as part of VAST’s monthly membership meeting at the Patterson-Appleton Arts Center.

Wares include unique homemade crafts as well as traditional forms of art. Not only do these well-crafted pieces give you an opportunity to find a special gift without relying on big chain stores, but your holiday money is going directly to a local artist. VAST will not receive any commissions on sold work. Everything on display is original.

The event will also be a wonderful opportunity to meet with experienced artists whose work is influenced by their time spent traveling and engaging with others in the creative community. The ability to hear stories from artists is a valuable treat, adding a personal touch to any piece; whether it’s purchased as a gift or for yourself.

As the event closes, door prizes and a show winner will be awarded. There will be music, appetizers, and fun activities from vendors. The event is FREE and open to the public.

VAST is a 501(c)3 organization that was founded in 1975 in Denton. They are dedicated to supporting artists and art lovers. They hold monthly meetings and organize various activities throughout the years for the benefit of their members and the art community.
