A Creative Art Studio
227 W. Oak St. #101

Wednesday Morning Drawing Class
10 - 11:30a.m.
$20 per lesson
Bring your own sketchbook (12x14 or 16x20), drawing pencils, white eraser, and kneaded eraser. Students can join at any time to learn the fundamentals of drawing.  

Acrylic and Mixed Media Painting
Tuesday Evening Class (3/7, 3/14, and 3/21)
7 - 9p.m.
$85 plus $5 supply fee
Robin Huttash teaches this class that is useful for both beginners and more experienced painters. In addition to working on general acrylic skills, students will learn how to use mixed media to enhance their paintings.

Paint Your Pet
Thursday Evenings (3/23, 3/30, and 4/6)
7 - 9pm
Create a lasting memory by learning to paint a likeness of your special pet. Through three sessions, students will go from a fast drawing sessions before building up the skill to complete a painting.

Workshop: Beginning Calligraphy with Wildflower
Saturday, March 4th
6 - 7:30p.m.
$55 ($95 with calligraphy kit)
Learn the art of beautiful lettering in this class that covers the basics of lowercase modern calligraphy. Beginners are welcome and calligraphy kits are available as a $40 add-on.  

Beginning Brush Lettering with Wildflower Art Shop
Tuesday, March 28th
6 - 7:30p.m.
$55 ($85 with Brush Lettering Kit)
Brush lettering is a practice similar to calligraphy. Students will gain skills in using a single brush pen to make beautiful letters and take home something they'll be proud to hang on their walls. All supplies used during class are provided. Students will take home an inspiring work of art.

Wax Sculpture Workshop with Thomas Flynn II
Thursday, March 23rd
$40 ($35 for GDAC members)
Presented in partnership with the 30th Annual Materials: Hard + Soft International Contemporary Craft Competition & Exhibition and the National Endowment for the Arts. Thomas Flynn II will lead a wax casting process. Participants will be able to choose a mold from his collection and cast a personal object of their own in wax.

Ema Ruth Russell Rehearsal Studio
A little hump-day treat for your inner yogi. Don't own yoga clothing or equipment? No worries. This class is tailored to fit casual clothing and mats are available to borrow at no cost. For more info on more classes around town, visit Karma Yoga.

Sundays: Denton Celtic Dancers Community Dance Class: 5 - 7p.m.
$1 per session, FREE for students
Ema Ruth Russell Rehearsal Studio
Not only does this class welcome newcomers, it provides the chance to observe more experienced Celtic dancers if you show up at 5p.m. Wear loose, comfortable clothing that doesn't restrict movement and leather shoes with no heels, such as jazz shoes, ballet slippers, or ghillies. Shabby Chic Painting Workshops
Evening Sessions: Tuesdays through Saturdays 6 - 8p.m.
Daytime Sessions: Tuesdays through Thursdays 10:30a.m. - 12:30p.m.; Saturdays 2 - 4p.m.
Pick up some shabby chic skills in this class. Participants are provided paint, supplies, and a free furniture item to keep. This can be a solo experience, or you can bring along a group for a fun night of learning with friends and family.
