Index: Denton Food Trucks
Denton is great for many reasons...an abundance of food trucks is definitely one of them. From waffles or BBQ to tacos and vegan food, it’s pretty easy to find something that meets your fancy. With the Food Truck Festival coinciding with the first night of Oaktopia on Thursday, we thought now was a good time to put out a Food Truck Index. These trucks are either based in Denton, or spend a lot of time here, so read up and then go eat up all the food (but save some for us). Did we miss your favorite truck? Let us know via email at firstname.lastname@example.org
Bet the House
We wouldn’t be very Texan if we didn’t have a food truck serving up some of the best BBQ in town. If food trucks aren’t you’re thing (crazy idea, we know) you can always enjoy the deliciousness from their restaurant on Elm.
Beware of Dog
Are you a baseball fan? If so, you probably know when the Rangers are playing, right? That’s good, because during those times, you can get $1 hot dogs. Not a baseball fan? That’s okay - the internet is good for a lot of things including a wealth of information to help you score cheap food.
New to the scene but already making a lot of noise and it’s easy to taste why. Not sure what to order? We wrote about them back in August and you can read that here.
Find them at East Side/Austin St. Truck Stop for some delicious BBQ. Or even better, take a break from the office and catch them when they’re set up for lunch in the parking lot of Zera’s Coffee.
Tacos and beer, what more could you want? Their location at Harvest House means you can always make those dreams come true.
Delicious sweet and savory crepes made from scratch with fresh ingredients. Don’t worry about picking between the Original or the O.M.G., just treat yourself to both!
Self acclaimed “devastatingly bangin’ Mexican inspired street food”, this truck doesn’t kid around. They have an impressive menu of options for the taco connoisseur, and nothing pairs better with a margarita from Mulberry St. Cantina then La Burga Torta.
Another regular at Zera’s for lunch, their menu full of Korean dumplings paired up with authentic side dishes is a unique offering not found on any other truck in Denton.
They don’t kid around with portion sizes, so come hungry. From a spicy Snake Bite Dilla to the Veggie Avocado Burrito, there is a little something for everyone.
They make their own BBQ sauce and it’s so good we’d happily drink it straight from a bottle except that it’s tastes so much better when it’s drowning meat.
They bring out the healthier side of your favorite comfort food by utilizing fresh health-conscious ingredients. You can enjoy that Philly Cheese-steak with little less guilt later.
Drop everything you’re doing right now, find this truck, and order the grilled cheese sandwich. You’ll thank us later.
If you haven’t had a Pork Bahn-Mi from The Pickled Carrot sometime around midnight at the Austin St. Food Truck Stop to soak up one to many craft beer indulgences, you’re missing out.
A recent addition to the Audacity Brew House patio, and the Bandidos are out of this world. Plus the BBQ sauce recipe includes Audacity beer, can we just get a pint of that stuff?
They have waffles, need we say more? We think not.
