What’s the Scoop? Pop-Up Art Show

Patterson–Appleton Arts Center, 6 p.m.

Want the scoop? ‘Cause we’ve got it! Join the Greater Denton Arts Council and yours truly, The Dentonite, for the second annual fundraising event for the Denton Community Market. This year, things will shape up a little differently than last year’s What’s Your Angle pop-up art show. Artists will be creating their art on an ice cream scoop-shaped pattern, and each “scoop” will come with a commemorative laser-engraved “cone” plaque with the event name and date. Plus, there will be complimentary ice cream from Beth Marie’s, food and wine from Hannah’s, beer from Armadillo Ale Works, and piano tunes by Mercury Rev’s Jesse Chandler. All proceeds benefit the Denton Community Market. Y’all, this is going to be one helluva pop-up show.

Start your weekend off by discovering (or rediscovering) the magic Denton offers through music at the Denton Music Workshop.
